Wedding newsletter

A wedding newsletter is a publication distributed to guests and/or to the wedding party about an upcoming wedding. The newsletter can be geared towards the guests or just the wedding party (in which case it could also be called a bridesmaid newsletter or a wedding party newsletter).

The newsletter can be electronic or printed, and mailed or hand-delivered to the recipients.

[edit] Tips

  • There are free templates such as Microsoft Publisher, Letterpop.
  • Some companies will create one for you for a fee: CJB Designs, The Wedding Times, AJM Custom Publishing.
  • Newsletters can also be a good way to entertain your guests at the reception while they wait for the first course.
  • Newsletters have evolved into wedding websites and blogs in some cases, but the ease of having a printed material can encourage readers. Know your audience and whether they would respond best to an electronic or printed form of communication.
  • They can also double as wedding favors.
  • You can include them in an out of town bag to tell guests more about the wedding.
  • A newsletter to your wedding party is also a great way to inform everyone about what their roles entail.
  • This is a good way to inform guests about a destination wedding.
