Several Weddingbee writers have married (or are getting married) in or around Tucson:
To obtain a marriage license in Pima County, an engaged couple must appear together at the Pima County Clerk-Recorder’s office, and each must present a photo ID.
The license, which is valid throughout Arizona, costs $50 and is good for one year from the date of purchase. No blood tests or health certificates are required, and there is no waiting period. The minimum age for obtaining a marriage license in Arizona is 18.
When planning your Tucson wedding, something to consider that is just as important as your venue is the time of year (month & day) you wish to have your wedding. Tucson has unique weather patterns that must factor into your planning. While June is usually considered the most popular month to get married, it would be unwise for a Tucson bride to plan June wedding simply because it would be too hot (even at night)! Likewise, a Tucson bride might find her early March afternoon nuptials interrupted by very chilly winds and low temperatures!
Nobody wants their guests to only remember how "hot" your wedding was so don't let the weather upstage your special day! And though you can't plan for everything, you can plan around typical climate patterns, wherever you choose to host your wedding. Tucson is blessed with sunshine 310 days of the year, gorgeous spring and autumn weather and comfortable winter weather too...it is just the summers you have to worry about!
