A thank you card is a written expression of gratitude, usually sent by an engaged or married couple.

It is customary to give thank you cards to:

• The host(s) of a bridal shower
• Anyone who gives a gift (including engagement gifts, shower gifts, and wedding gifts)
• Attendants, including bridesmaids and groomsmen.

• Thank you notes should be written within three months of receiving a gift (or within three months of an event).
