RSVP

RSVP, short for the French phrase, "Répondez s'il vous plaît", means "Please respond." A wedding guest returns an RSVP to indicate whether or not they will attend an event. RSVP's enable the host of an event to get a head count by a certain deadline.

Tips

Put a small number on the back of the RSVP card and keep a spreadsheet of which card was sent to each guest. That way, if a card is returned without a name, you'll know who sent it.
For guests living outside the US, you'll want to consider purchasing stamps from their country of residence to use on their RSVP cards. US postage will be useless to them!
