Weddingbee

The Master of Ceremonies or (MC) announces major events at a wedding.

This role is often filled by a friend of the family. Sometimes it is instead combined with that of the DJ. Other weddings choose to do without an MC at all.

Typically, the major wedding events announced by the MC include:

• Entrance of the parents, the wedding party, and the newly married couple
• Dances including the first dance, the father-daughter dance, the mother-son dance, etc.
• When the dance floor opens up to open dancing
• The start of dinner service
• Toasts
• Cutting of the wedding cake
• The bouquet toss
• The garter toss
• The anniversary dance
• The married couple's departure
