Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is a Spanish territory and is considered a popular tourist destination and is becoming a popular honeymoon location and destination wedding site due to its beautiful Mediterranean waters and vibrant nightlife.

Attractions

Ibiza's nightlife is popularly known. Ibiza Town in the East and Sant Antoni are the two main areas for couples to travel for nightlife. All nightclubs are closed by 6am at the latest as Ibiza's tourism department is trying to make Ibiza more family-friendly and a quieter tourism scene.

If couples would rather be away from the bustling, loud nightlife and would opt for a more quieter honeymoon, there is windsurfing, catamaran sailing, diving in the pristine blue waters, the C'an Marca caves or even a two-hour scenic tour of the Ibiza countryside by bus.

Climate

In Ibiza, the summer season lasts from May through October. The temperature is very warm beginning in May, with mostly clear skies and sunny days. Between June and September, there is little rain fall. Ibiza's winter begins from November and ends in April. The rain in winter lasts for approximately three days and then it's back to clear blue skies.

Tips

  • May and October are the best months to enjoy the island.
  • Use a good SPF of sunblock lotion as the sun is very high. Also, drink a good amount of water.
  • Don't fall asleep while sunbathing. Couples make this mistake often while laying out and tanning and it results in sunburn.
  • Drink bottled water. The local water is safe, but it is advised to drink bottled water, which is cheapest in the giant sizes.
  • The best way to see Ibiza is by car. (Like in the US, driving is on the right.)
