Hotels offer several important services to couples getting married:

• Rooms for their guests. Couples can reserve hotel room blocks for their guests, often at a reduced rate.
• A hotel room for the couple's wedding night.
• A wedding venue for the wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception.

Hotels will also often hold Out-of-Town bags that the couple has prepared out of town guests.

Also, some couples reserve hotel rooms for the night of a bachelor or bachelorette party, so that there's no need to drive home after a long night of partying.
