Making a list of the top contenders for the destination is also a good bet.
Search around on the main travel sites online and check to see if any of the main countries' (or cities') attractions pique an interest.
If couples are hosting a destination wedding, they could also stay in the location they are at now and just prolong their trip.

Once couples have picked out a destination, they should check all the basic necessities for arriving in the country (if necessary).
Checking the high and low season is also a plus since the low season's prices are the most affordable due to the decrease in tourists.
Doing extensive research on the desired accomodations, attraction, etc. is promising because it helps to equip couples prior to their arrival.
