Hanbok

A hanbok is a traditional Korean outfit, often characterized by vibrant colors and simple lines.

The women's hanbok is comprised of two pieces. The top portion is called a jeogori, similar to a long-sleeved blouse, and the bottom portion is a skirt. The men's hanbok is comprised of a short jacket and pants. Both ensembles may also be worn with a traditional overcoat called a durumagi.

A hanbok is a formal outfit, worn particularly on traditional holidays and when attending social affairs like a wedding.

During a paebaek ceremony, the bride and groom will wear hanboks with a durumagi. Traditional brides' hanboks were green on top and red on bottom, the mother of the bride's hanboks were purple, and the mother of the groom's hanbok was blue. But in modern times, brides and mothers may select any color hanbok.
