A hair salon is a company that hires a group of hair stylists to style hair, all under a single brand name. A hair salon is typically a company; any payments goes to the company, who then either pays a commission to the hair stylists or pays their salary.

Couples sometimes hire a hair salon to style hair at their wedding. They can also schedule a hair trial to be held before their wedding day.

In contrast to a hair salon, it's possible to hire an individual hair stylist. When a couple hires a hair stylist, they are guaranteed to work with that particular hair stylist.
