The following dates may be especially good or bad days for a wedding:
- The First Sunday in February is the NFL Championship "Superbowl Weekend" (e.g. February 1, 2009). If there are many football fans in attendance, having a wedding over the Superbowl Weekend can cause significant problems.
- February 14th (Valentine's day) is widely considered to be one of the most romantic days of the year. The cost of flowers goes up dramatically immediately before and during Valentine's day; in addition, florist availability may be limited during this time.
- The Third Monday in February is Washington's Birthday (aka "President's Day), and is a federal holiday. This three-day weekend is popular for weddings.
