Father-daughter dance

The father-daughter dance is a common wedding tradition, in which a bride dances with her father (or a father-figure like a step-father, grandfather, or family friend).

The dance usually takes place at the wedding reception sometime after the newly married couple's first dance.

Some couples combine the father-daughter dance with the mother-son dance to save time.
