Tips

• Try to time your reception to allow your guests to have dinner--either have an early afternoon reception or a late-night reception.
• Serve a wide assortment of desserts
• State clearly on the invitation and wedding website that the reception will be a dessert reception, such as "Dessert and dancing to follow" or "Dessert Reception to Follow"
• Try to include some savory snacks, as well, such as nuts, Chex Mix, or other salty treat.

• A coffee bar with different flavors of syrups, as well as cream, sugar, Splenda, etc.
• A few savory snacks at guest tables to balance out the sugar overload
