A couples shower is similar to a bridal shower, but it allows both women and men to attend. It is a party given for the bride and groom before the wedding, in which guests shower the couple with gifts.

Tips

• If you are hosting a couples shower, please include some kind of activity that keeps the male population interested.
• Ideas include: sports, BBQ, ridiculous bingo, or having the shower at a bar
• Host an "Open House" type of shower where all guests (male, female, friends, family, etc.) do not feel obligated to stay the entire time and can show up when they have time. It really makes more of a cocktail-type of party or engagement-type party where everyone can mingle and chat without games.
