Barcelona has many parks. Montjuic is the largest park, Ciutadella Park comes in as the second-largest, followed by Guinardo Park and the famous Park Guell, which was designed by Antoni Gaudi.
Along with parks, Barcelona has a total of seven beaches. Sant Sebastia and Barceloneta beaches are the largest, oldest and the beaches that are most visited by tourists and natives in Barcelona.
If you or your partner are more indoors-inclined, there are many museums and various architectural sites in Barcelona such as the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, the Picasso Museum or the Archaeology Museum of Catalonia.
The Barri Gotic (or Gothic Quarter) is a perfect place for Romanesque architecture and Gothic architecture. The well-known example of Gothic architecture in the Gothic quarter is La Sagrada Familia, a church begun by Antoni Gaudi in 1882 that is still being built today.
Barcelona's climate is characterized by warm summers and mild winters. January and February are the coldest months while July and August are the hottest months.
