An anniversary dance is a special dance to determine the longest married couple at a wedding. Throughout a song, the MC names off a progressively larger number of years of marriage. Guests get off the dance floor one by one until the longest married couple remains.

The anniversary dance may be done in addition to or in place of a bouquet toss or garter toss. When done in place of a bouquet or garter toss, the garter or bouquet may be handed to the longest married couple after the anniversary dance.

[edit] Tips

• If you know who the oldest married couple at your wedding will be, you may select a song that has special significance to them.
• Progressively older songs may be used as the anniversary dance goes on.
