Typically, the ceremony is held out on the lawn overlooking the water & mountains. Cocktail hour follows immediately afterward on the patio near the pool. Dinner is held inside on the ground level ballroom. The ballroom looks out over the water as well, through large windows. A small lobby area is right outside the ballroom for guest book tables, buffet, etc.
Since Hood Canal is well known for shellfish, the menu includes plenty of seafood options. Plated dinners & buffets are available and include salmon, crab, clams and prawns as well as the standard beef & chicken options.
Presentation is quite nice and overall, the results are what you'd expect from a higher end restaurant.
Alderbrook is about 2 hours away from SeaTac airport or about 1 hour and 45 mins from downtown Seattle. The resort is accessible via I-5/SR-16 (don't forget the toll coming east across the Tacoma Narrows bridge) or via the Bremerton Ferry.
Parking is free. Schedule valet service separately.
Alderbrook is one of the only options in the area. There are a few hotels nearby in Shelton or Hoodsport as well. Rooms range from $200 to $300+ a night.
